Telegraph Fantasy Football: Game Week 3 insights

Sterling Silver

With underlying injuries and team set-ups not suiting his style of running at players, it’s been a while since we’ve seen the best of Raheem Sterling (£5.8m). A brace and an assist against Luton is hopefully the catalyst to see the England winger have a successful campaign at Stamford Bridge.

Klopp overcomes Howe again

A late Darwin Nunez (£6.1m) double was enough for 10-man Liverpool to see off Newcastle, and see the Reds’ manager stretch his winning streak against his English counterpart. At the other end of the pitch, Virgil Van Dijk (£5.3m) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (£5.5m) owners may finally be losing patience after a combined zero points and suspension for the former.

Joao Palhinha back with a bang

One of last season’s Telegraph Fantasy Football success stories was Fulham’s defensive midfield recruit from Sporting Lisbon. Priced modestly, he racked up tackle bonuses and chipped in with the odd goal. True to last season’s form, he returned at the Emirates with a goal and three bonus points to remind managers of his potential.

Telegraph Fantasy Football Tips: Game Week 4

The Telegraph Fantasy Football player list has been analysed ahead of the upcoming games and these look like the best players to transfer in:

1. Michail Antonio (£4.8m)

The Hammers forward seems to be turning back the clock, with an impressive start to the new campaign. His side travel to Luton, who have conceded eight goals in their first two games, a fixture which could see the attacker find the net for a third outing in a row.

2. James Maddison (£5.2m)

Ange Postecoglou’s side have looked impressive in their opening three games, having only dropped points in a notoriously difficult fixture at Brentford on the opening weekend. Their acquisition of the ex-Leicester midfielder was seen as one of the coups of the summer, and the England international looks primed to continue his early-season form.

3. Christian Norgaard (£3.2m)

If looking to free up funds, or wanting a long-term hold that picks up bonus points regularly, the Bees’ combative midfielder ticks those boxes. Combining tackling with the odd attacking return, the new club captain could be a season-long value pick.
